Introduction and specs
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro was released only six months ago, so the Tecno Pova 6 Pro should be a minor refresh of its predecessor. However, as the name implies, there’s much more to it.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro brings a handful of generational upgrades across all departments – display, battery, charging, memory and camera. It also retains relatively the same price if you equate it for storage since the Pova 6 Pro offers 256GB by default while the Pova 5 Pro launched with a 128GB base configuration.

For roughly the same price, the Pova 6 Pro now offers a 120Hz OLED panel instead of IPS LCD; it brings a 108MP main camera into the mix, replaces the older 50MP shooter, and upgrades the battery capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 m Ah. Charging should also be marginally faster, and reverse wired charging should now be supported.
The new handset also holds onto the Dimensity 6080, which is good news as the Pova 5 Pro fared well in our tests and ranked highly among its similarly priced rivals.
Additionally, the Pova 6 Pro is now IP53 dust and splash-proof and sports a new design, but it is still based on a similar design language. The LED strips on the back remain too.
